Another Marine Landing

We have been trying to pick up Val visiting from Montreal since we arrived and first attempt was St Helens, but that was not going to work. Tried for Bicheno the next day and ran into a bad northerly coming down the coast. Which meant the tie up to the shallow dock at Bicheno was just not going to work. On our way to Bicheno we had to pull up into Long Point Bay. So the challenge is, how do we get Val who has been hanging around Hobart, to the boat in Long Point Bay with no taxi, no Uber and no bus. She can make it to Bicheno by bus but then what. Jacqui worked her magic, and talked to the tourist info centre. No help! Got in touch with Adam at one of the local resorts. Adam, however was in Hobart, but he had his brother-in-law at Long Point, Phil. Phil, as it turned out was willing to drive from Long Point to Bicheno, about a half an hour, meet Valerie when she got off the bus and deposit her at the beach where we have the boat anchored. Another example of great Tassy hospitality! Later that evening they show up at the beach at the allotted time and we have a successful marine landing! Better get some rest cause next day we need to change the underwear!!
